About Michael Yankowski, Registered Psychologist

Do you feel lost, anxious, or “out of sorts”? Life is full of twists and turns, but sometimes the roller coaster gets to be too much and we may begin to feel less in control than we’d like to. Do you know why you feel that way? Perhaps that unknown is causing some anxiety. Let’s talk and see what we can do together to move you to a more balanced sense of self.

Hi, my name is Michael and I work with people in hopes of rediscovering their authentic self. I hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology acquired from City University of Seattle (2015) and am a member in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists and the Psychological Association of Alberta. My personal and professional experience has inspired me to develop within myself and others a better sense of who we are as individuals and what part each of us plays in society. I believe that developing our sense of self-awareness in the context of our surroundings is the key to living a full and satisfying life. Through the understanding and application of various psychological concepts, we can find what best applies to your needs.

While we push through life’s struggles and are often told that “time heals all wounds”, I think how you use that time is important! Professionally, I have had the privilege of working with a variety of clients from many walks of life in not-for-profit, in-patient addiction treatment, and private practice settings. Each circumstance comes with its own set of challenges that we can work through together. By combining science with personal life experience, we can uncover your true potential.

Life is full of ups and downs and there are times when things seem to be unmanageable. The passion I have developed through my professional and personal experience can assist you. Reach out today and let’s talk about it!
